Spring

A couple of weeks ago, I bought my first digital SLR camera. With the advent of Spring, I've had a lot of opportunity to photograph nature. I've always maintained that Autumn is my favorite season, but the longer I live in Utah, the more I'm leaning towards Spring as my favorite. It holds so much promise of warmth and sun. In literally a week, the landscape goes from dead, dull and gray, to life bursting with color. I leave for China in 11 days, so I'm trying to learn how to use my camera. Here are some of the photos I've taken:

Nice pictures, Megan. You'll really enjoy that new camera for years to come. I love spring...it has always been my favorite season. Missed it when we lived in California because the transition to spring is so much more subtle.

Yea I miss that hopeful feeling that spring brings...don't have much of seasons in Tucson. My favorite is the one of the purple flowers that is looking up into the trees. Did you think of a series for your art thing yet? Cause some of these could be cool.

That weeping willow is my favorite tree ever! I was so glad when your family kept it while re-landscaping that plot! :)
