Memorial Day Sunday

It started out as a gray and rainy day, but the sun came out while I was in church and it turned out to be a beautiful Spring day. A perfect day for visiting the cemetery. Dad and I went over there to admire the flowers I dropped off this morning while it was drizzling. And while we were there we got our traditional hot dog and coke.

Yesterday, I babysat Caroline and Cole for a few hours. We jumped on the trampoline and played "Ring Around the Rosie." After "we all fall down," Cole always says "Again the roses." It cracks me up. After taking the dogs for a walk, I put a movie on for them. I made popcorn and sat on the couch in between the two kids. We were all enjoying the popcorn, and after a while, I decided I'd had enough so I stopped eating it. Cole noticed this and he took my hand and put it in the bowl. I thought that was so funny. Anyway, I'll get to enjoy a day off work tomorrow. Kate comes home from Brazil and we're planning a BBQ. It should be a great day. I just hope the weather stays nice. Happy Memorial Day!

Need I say more?

Yes, that's right. Conan is soon to be back on the air. I have tickets for June 24th so I'm real excited. I may even be on TV so you better watch for me!

iPhone Photos

I got my iPhone back in October last year. I have absolutely loved it! I thought that since I really can't think of anything else to blog about at the moment, I'd share some of the photos I've taken since I got it. I think it takes pretty good photos. Way better than my old Razr. As you will see, the dogs are the subject matter most of the time. Go figure!

Walk?

He didn't like me taking pictures of him. I love the way his tail is wagging while he is barking at me.

Tulips along our driveway.

This dip made me run across the street to get a picture of him with the Wiener Mobile when he spotted it. Such a dip!

Letterpressed Salt Lake Temple

Yesterday I received this poster in the mail. It was designed by Cameron Moll and letterpressed by the Bjørn Letterpress Studio in Orem. Bjørn is the one I'm going to use for Jacob's wedding invitations. Can't wait. Anyway, the design for this façade of the Salt Lake Temple, was done using only characters from 3 typefaces: Bickham Script Pro, Engravers MT, and Epic. I think that's what makes this so unique; it's designed purely with type. I love it and now I need to get it framed. Check out some of the detail. The Angel Moroni is one of my favorite details.
