My New Computer

Since everyone is annoyed with me because I haven't posted for a really long time, you're going to have to hear me brag about my new computer. On Friday I bought a 15 inch MacBook Pro. I cannot believe how much faster it is compared to my old PowerBook G4. Because I use CS3 and I have a lot of typefaces on my computer, things were taking waaaaay too long to open and close. I love it and I know working will be more enjoyable because of it. I also picked up an iPod touch while I was there. I haven't had time to open it yet, but believe me, I will!

Family Pictures

My family has not had our picture professionally taken for a really long time. The only time that came close was back in 2000 when Briton and Melissa got married and Danny wasn't even in the picture because he was on his mission (on the left). As a result of the lack of recent family photos, hanging above our mantel in the family room is this picture:

Obviously this is an old photo but it is very dear to our family because it was one of the last photos taken of our family when Mary was still alive. It is also taken in Monterey, California. This was our yearly vacation spot when we lived in California and we have a multitude of memories there.

Now that Emily and Danny are moving next week and Kate in August, my mom decided that we needed to do it. So tomorrow Heather George is going to come to our house and undertake the enormous task of arranging 11 people and getting them to cooperate so they are all happy with how they look. Since two of the people are ages 4 and 1, this may be a bit difficult. When I was younger, I didn't exactly cooperate with the photographer. Actually, I was quite a trouble maker when it came to taking pictures. Take a look at what I mean:

It looks like I have pulled up my dress and I'm pinching the skin on my knee. There are even more proofs than this, but you get the idea. Apparently I was a little brat when I was young and my mom will attest to that. So Mom: I promise that I will be all smiles tomorrow and I'll try not to give Heather too much trouble.

Congratulations Kathryn June!

You guessed it. Another graduation! This time it was my littlest sister, Kate (actually, she's my only little sister). She graduated from Skyline High School today which marks the end of high school graduations in our family. I couldn't go to the commencement ceremony because of an annoying little thing called work, but I was able to take a longer lunch and meet my family at Tuscany for some good food. It's been such a gloomy and rainy day today that we couldn't get any pictures outside. I remember when I graduated from high school 6 years ago, it was sunny and HOT. Oh well. I love you Kate and I know you will succeed next year at The University of Arizona.

At Tuscany
